Mona Eltahawy

Ferrara, Italy, October 6, 2013. Mona Eltahawy, Egyptian journalist and activist. She collaborates with several magazines, including The Washington Post, Qatar's Al Arab and The Guardian. She mainly deals with Egypt and the Arab world. In 2011 she was attacked in Cairo during the protests in Tahrir Square. Since then has been active in the defense of women's rights in the Middle East. Ms Eltahawy lives and works in the United States.
